Approximately 1,000 fifth graders from 15 different private and public schools in Brazil participated in the 2009 study, learning Mind Lab lessons over 3 months, 1 hour per week. The 2010 study already included approximately 5,000 students.

The 2009 results demonstrated a significant improvement in both math and Portuguese, but the 2010 results absolutely astonished Mrs. Regina Cansado, INADE’s President.

The international teams will join together to compete playing the 4 Olympic games:

 Abalone, Checkers, Quoridor and Octi.

As the “Best of the Best” will arrive at this Olympic event, there’s a growing anticipation for a thrilling and challenging competition. ..

On Tuesday the 14th of June, the teams will arrive, and join a fun afternoon Welcome activity – All competitors are invited to participate! 

On Wednesday the 15th of June, Individual tournaments will be held allowing all competitors to show thier worth in Abalone, Quoridor, Octi and Checkers…
On Thursday the 16th of June all the teams will meet  to take part in the grand Olympic championship finals.
In the closing ceremony the champions of the 2011 Olympics will be announced!

In preparation for the upcoming Mind Lab classes and more than 4,000 expected students, the Chilean team headed by Mr. Alberto Espinoza learned how to implement the education process of more than 150 teachers in various schools.

Starting February 2011, the pedagogical team of Vigatec, headed by Mr. Alberto Espinoza, will be training more than 150 teachers in various schools, and starting March, these teachers will be delivering the first Mind Lab classes in Chile to more than 4,000 students. This week, Vigatec’s pedagogical team is moving on to the final stages of its preparation for the first teacher training seminars in Chile, with profound training seminars delivered by Mrs. Sandra Garcia, the Pedagogical Manager of Mind Lab Brazil, and Mrs. Anita Abed, Mind Lab Brazil’s Chief Teacher Trainer.

Mind Lab Group congratulates Vigatec for a grand launching event, and a very promising start indeed. We wish all those educators, families, and students involved with (and affected by) the Mind Lab methodology in Chile, lots of joy and success on this exciting journey!

A “Coffee & Intelligence” pedagogic event was held on the 9th of November in Trento.

Mind Lab Italy had organized a fascinating educational event with the participation of school principals and education experts.

This important educational event presented prof. Arduino Salatin who opened the symposium.

Also included were presentations and discussions of the Mediated learning and Mind Games sessions.

Almost 200 4th to 7th grade students from 48 schools competed in this exciting and facinating event!

In addition, 80 8th and 9th grade students participated in the olympic mind tournaments, playing the 4 Olympic games: Abalone, Octi, Quoridor & Checkers.

Mind Lab Group sends her congratulations to all the participants, and looks forward to see the winning team on the international Mind Olympics that will be held this year in Lisbon, Portugal!

This symposium is a part of the ongoing activity of an educational community established by Mind Lab Group and Mind Lab Brazil called the International Mind Group Community.

The focus of this symposium were the actions and results of practicing the model of the Mediator Teacher.

Three of Mind Lab Group’s senior staff members: Mr. Ehud Shachar, Mrs. Tali Reinfeld and Mr. Tzvika Feldfogel have recently returned from a visit in Brazil where they participated in the community events.

In the “Mind Lab Symposium” over 600 educators and managers took part in a grand, impressive event.

Among the speakers in this conference were – Professor Dr. Cesar Nunes, Professor. Yves de La Taille, Professor Lino de Macedo, and Professor Nilson Jose Machado, all among the most respected philosophers and writers in the area of education in Brazil.
